Sterling Silver
An alloy made of 92.5% of pure silver and 7.5% copper, sterling silver is strong, durable and stunning.
Metals
Although our jewelry is fabricated in Los Angeles and Italy, the metals themselves, recycled and newly-mined, may originate from different parts of the world. We invest in manufacturers and suppliers who communicate with us about their operations and supply chain, so that we have assurances that our metals are consciously sourced. Whenever possible, we try to get verification that the metals are traceable to suppliers who are certified against international best practices such as the Responsible Jewelry
Council.
Gemstones
Our genuine precious and semi-precious gemstones are sourced from suppliers based in Los Angeles and India that communicate with us about where and how they are sourcing their stones. Two of our sources are family-owned lapidaries in Jaipur, India, who are members of the American Gem Trade Association. We note the country of mining origin, this is referring to the geographical area where the stone was mined, and is considered to be opinion, not fact. We work with our gemstone suppliers with the goal to improve traceability, and when available, we ask for documentation, such as gem reports, photos and videos from the mines and the lapidaries where the gemstones are claimed to be coming from, to help us better understand how our materials are sourced.
